Organizer: Community Resources for Children
Active Minds Mini Series is a self-paced, discovery-based early learning program designed to promote parent and child interaction and communication. Active Minds Mini Series serves children 3-4 years and their parents/primary caregivers and younger siblings. Supported by a bilingual team of Early Learning Specialists, parents and children actively engage together in hands-on experiences for 1 hr. 30 mins, two days per week for a five-week cycle.
Active Minds Mini Series assists parents in developing their role as their child’s first teacher by highlighting teaching points to promote positive techniques as parents interact with their children. These teaching points focus on conversation, thinking skills, explanations, and questioning.
